- Those Who Gave Life to Education Now Give Blood
The Turkish Education Association, which cooperated with the Red Crescent, organized a blood donation charity. Within the scope of the campaign to raise awareness about blood donation, blood and stem cell donations were made on Thursday , December 27th at TED Izmir College with the participation of our teachers, employees and parents. Each unit of blood donated in this campaign brought three needy people to life, while stem cell donation gave hope to those waiting for a bone marrow transplant to survive. In addition, the fact that saplings will be planted on behalf of the donors with the "One Blood One Sapling" project implemented by the Red Crescent for each donor added another beauty to this meaningful campaign.
- One Toy Thousand Smiley Toy Campaign
The toys collected as part of the "One Toy Thousand Smiles" campaign carried out by our School Social Assistance ve Solidarity Club have found their new owners. The toys, which both our elementary and middle school students joyfully separated by rummaging through their drawers, created smiles on the faces of the children who were educated at Izmir Karabakhlar TOGEMDER Kindergarten. Photos taken at the delivery of the toys showed that happiness multiplies as you share it.

- EÇEV" "Make a Wish" Project
TED Izmir College students met at the organization organized by EÇEV for the "Make a Wish" Social Assistance Project, which was carried out with the idea of "Sharing a Dream is sharing a life".
Our students received the paper dolls with the new year wishes of 126 students from EÇEV, selected them by lottery, received their gifts that would make them smile and met with them at the New Year's Eve entertainment held at Kordon Hotel and delivered their gifts.
We would like to thank our parents, students and teachers who supported this volunteering project.
- LÖSEV Support Sales Stand
Ted Izmir College students raised funds for their leukemia siblings by selling calendars, trophies, agendas, etc. at the support stand for LÖSEV, which they traditionally organize every year . The donation collected after the sale of the products was deposited into the LÖSEV account as a contribution of the TED Izmir family . We would like to thank all our volunteers for their hard work and support.
THE RELIGION
Our poetry event, which is held every month, is attended by every level and every student who wants it. Based on that month's theme, our students learn and notice their poems by researching a poet of their choice. Thus, our students know poets and poems. By presenting the poem of their choice to their friends at school, they experience the excitement of the stage and are happy to be a part of the event.
HOW NICE TO WRITE AND READ!
Starting with the awareness of how valuable reading is, our group aimed to take steps towards a new adventure in order to share with readers what our students have written and written, inspired by the books they have read and the authors. Our writing journey, which began in November, turns into a book with its authors themselves in April.
POSTCARD EVENT
In this event, which was implemented with 5th and 6th grade students, our students surprised a public school in Izmir with the theme of The New Year in order to revive our traditional but now forgotten values. The students who received the messages of celebration greeted this surprise with great surprise and happiness, and conveyed their thanks with the photos they sent.
JOURNALISM AND ACTUITY
Our club students, students and teachers had conversations. Following the activities held within the school, they developed original ideas about the subject. They shared these original ideas with the readers in the newspaper they published by applying the narrative techniques they learned in different types of writing. This digitally prepared and distributed newspaper is a first for the students of TED Izmir College.
WE CREATE OUR CLASS BOOK
In order to expand the reading range of our students, we revived our classroom libraries with the books brought by our students. Our students can reach the classroom libraries with various types of books at any time of the day and learn how a library works by applying it.
AUTHOR-STUDENT WORKSHOPS AND TALKS
Our students read selected books from World and Turkish literature throughout the year. They also have the opportunity to meet the authors of these books throughout the year. Thanks to the author interviews and workshops, they ask our authors questions and listen to the stories of the heroes in the book from the original owner. Our students, who also sign their books to our authors, leave the interview with all the gains related to that book.
ACADEMIC EVENTS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Examples of Mathematics Course Activities:
Activities are carried out in extra-classroom environments to reinforce the gains learned in mathematics courses in our school. The aim is to take the student to the center and teach how the subject is used in daily life with fun and active participation. Examples of these activities include: Pickle making activity for four processing skills in dexterity numbers and natural numbers, lemonade making activity to understand the ratio issue, online applications that take place in the computer laboratory to comprehend transactions in fractions and dexterity numbers.
- Examples of Turkish Lesson Activities
In our courses, our students prepare projects, board studies, research assignments and interviews that reveal their interests in order to improve their language skills and increase their creativity. Thus, each student participates in the learning process. Our students assimilate books with "Creative Reading" methods organized in the classroom and in our library. TED-CANADA EXCHANGE PROGRAMS
In accordance with the agreement between TED Schools and the Government of Canada, our students have the opportunity to study in Canada for 1 month, one semester or 1 year. Students of TED Izmir College Secondary School are entitled to study at a public school in various parts of Canada for a month of their lives after undergoing a series of exams and interviews in which english language proficiency, academic achievement, emotional maturity criteria are sought.
For ted izmir college students, the process works as follows:

EXCHANGE RATE SYSTEM AND DIFFERENT TEACHING PROGRAM
At TED Izmir College Middle School, a differentiated teaching model is designed based on the idea that students have individual differences in their learning interests and abilities, learning styles and learning requirements.
The exchange rate system is applied in English courses at the middle school levels of our school. Our primary objective goal in our exchange rate system is to stay away from subjective evaluations and place them in the appropriate classrooms according to objective and European Common Language Framework (CEFR) standards, taking into account the achievements and requirements of our students in each skill. Education – Online placement exams and oral exams are applied at all levels (5,6,7 and 8) at the beginning of the academic year. At the end of the academic year, all exam grades, grades for the 1st and 2nd semesters and the teacher's opinion are determined on the basis of the next rate of the student. MUN (Model United Nations) is a platform where world problems are shared and solutions are presented. About 1 million students attend the 400-500 MUN Conference held in different countries around the world every year. Within the framework of this event, which is a one-to-one simulation of the United Nations Meetings, young people take on the role of delegates of the countries assigned to them and participate in committee studies in which they produce solutions to current world issues. GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP CLUB
GCC Club, which is led by TED Headquarters and operates in different TED Schools and is guided in our school at the secondary school level, started its activities in 2018-2019 academic year . . The GCC Club, which was established to increase the TED belonging of our school students, aims to increase awareness levels about world problems, develop solutions and maximize english speaking-writing skills through their studies, activities and conferences.
CAMBRIDGE EXAMS
Cambridge exams are administered in our school. Every year , hundreds of thousands of students from all over the world take Cambridge exams . Ted Izmir College has successfully enrolled these students in the teaching program .
